ACTR Summer Russian Language Teacher Program

(Postgraduate, University/Fellowship)

Purpose: Award for full-time teachers, professors, or teachers-in-training of Russian with a minimum 3.5 GPA. Fellowship money awarded is automatically credited to the cost of participating in the Summer Language Teacher Exchange Program. Must submit photocopy of passport, current curriculum vitae or resume, and completed application form. Deadline: March 1. Focus: Education; Foreign Language Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Funds Avail.: Minimum no. of awards: 12. Maximum no. of awards: 20. Minimum award amount: $3500. Maximum award amount: $5000. Title VIII Research Scholar and Combined Research and Language Study Program

Purpose: Scholarships and grants for U.S. students (graduate and post-graduate) seeking to study languages or conduct research in the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. Applicants must be permanent residents of U.S. Deadlines: January 15 and October 1. Focus: Physical Sciences and Math; Social Services; Peace and Conflict Studies; Law/Legal Services; International Studies; Humanities; History; Foreign Language; Economics; Area/Ethnic Studies Qualif.: High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.
