Adams, Richard

Adams, Richard ( 1920 –   ),
children's writer and novelist, born in Berkshire. He is most widely known for his highly successful fantasy Watership Down ( 1972 ), an anthropomorphic account of rabbit society, and has also written other works including Shardik ( 1974 ) and Plague Dogs ( 1977 ).
