Student Quotes
"I’ve had frustrations thanks to the bureaucracy that surrounds any such institution, but I’m happy I chose AU, and I would recommend it to anyone who cares about diversity, government, and high second-tier academics with more than a few shining stars. It’s quite possible to be very happy here."
"I had a great experience at American. I certainly have my criticisms of the school, but overall, I’m really glad I went there. My academic experience was good, and even better was the education that I got from the people around me. They were smart, engaged in the world, interesting, and diverse. Living in DC was incredible, and I still miss it sometimes. I had a lot of good times there, and I recommend it to anyone."

American is a great school which has small classes and super star professors. You can really get close instructions from some of the top people in their field. The student body has a lot of international students and is pretty diverse.
Pros: International, Cosmopolitan
Cons: No Real school spirit
This is one of the top universities in the Washington, DC area. One great thing is the location, in a vibrant and international city. Another plus is the large international student population-- you can meet and discuss politics with people from all over.
